April 27th, 2013 - It was another busy weekend for the team as Clay entered a pair of events in his home state of California.

On Friday evening Clay was in action at his home track, Ocean Speedway (Watsonville, California) in his Open Wheel Modified. He started the night by winning his heat race from the pole position to lock into the pole starting spot for the feature. He led the first third of the event before he began receiving a challenge from Cody Burke for the lead. Burke would take over the top spot and led several laps before Daly made a late race charge at the leader. Unfortunately just as he caught the leader Daly broke the gears causing him to retire from the event.

Saturday night took Daly to the famed Stockton 99 Speedway (Stockton, California, which was covered in dirt for a series of events. A $2,000-to-win Super Late Model program was held, and Clay qualified second fastest before finishing second in his heat race to lock into the dash. After winning the dash he started on the pole for the feature and was running second in the finale, when he lost a left-rear tire. He ducked into the pits for fresh rubber as he joined the tail of the field. He would quickly work his way back to the fourth spot before losing another left-rear tire, which ended his night.

April 20th, 2013 - Clay was back in competition in his Super Late Model over the weekend as he traveled to Santa Maria Speedway (Santa Maria, California). As has been the theme for the team for the first half of 2013 his night started with bad luck as a broken, lift arm in hot laps forced the team to thrash to get ready for heat race action.

In his heat he started fourth before racing to the win by a straight away over his competitors. For the feature an invert of "0" was drawn, and as a result Daly started on the pole in his #32 Van Iderstine Motorspots/Victory Circle Super Late Model. Unfortunately he would battle the handle on his entry in the main event as he slipped to a third place finish behind race winner, Nick Bartels, and Scott Drake. April 13th, 2013 - After a practice session on Friday night to shake down their Open Wheel Modified, Clay Daly and his team headed to Santa Maria Speedway (Santa Maria, California) on Saturday night. Clay started the night by advancing from the sixth starting spot in the second heat race to a fourth place finish, which put him in the redraw for the feature. In the redraw Daly received the seventh position, but as the team headed to staging the left rear brake line broke. As a result during driving intros he headed to the hot pit, and his crew chief made a repair of the broken line. Due to working on the car prior to the start of the race Daly was forced to relinquish his starting spot and tagged the tail of the field in the eighteenth position. During the course of the feature he made a charge through the field into the top five, and at the checkered flag a blanked could have been thrown over the top five as Clay was credited with a fifth place finish.

"I have to give a big thumbs up to my team because they never gave up," commented Daly. "I also have to give a shout out to the Papich-Tose team for letting me use their shop before the races on Saturday, and them rebuilding my transmission so that I could even race that night. It was greatly appreciated."
