January 19th, 2014 - The 2nd Annual Winter Extreme continued on Friday evening with a $3,000-to-win program, which attracted a field of 56 entries to the 3/8 mile oval at Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona). Clay started his outing by advancing from the 4th starting spot to a 3rd place finish in his heat race to lock into the 18th starting spot for the 30 lap finale. In the feature he failed to advance through the pack and was credited with a 17th place finish in the final rundown.

Saturday found a $5,000 winner's purse posted as 56 entries returned for action. Unfortunately heat race and b-main competition found Clay falling short of earning a transfer spot to the feature as his night came to an early end.

On Sunday night the miniseries drew to a close with a $10,000-to-win event, and Clay hoped to have a strong run. Unfortunately struggles in qualifying accompanied by a rubbered track surface resulted in Daly missing the cut for the 50 lap finale.

January 15th, 2014 - Clay Daly opened the 2014 season on Saturday evening at Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) with the opening round of the 2nd Annual Winter Extreme, which was sanctioned by the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) Super Late Models.

Fifty-seven entries took part in the $3,000-to-win opener, and mechanical issues in time trials left Clay starting 8th in his heat race. He would only be able to manage to advance to a 7th place finish, which pinned him starting deep in a b-main. After starting deep in the consolation event he advanced to a 5th place finish, but with only the top two cars transferring to the feature his night came to an early end.

The team would enjoy a much better outing in Sunday evening's $5,000-to-win program. A strong field of 54 entries entered the event, and Clay started the day by racing to the win in his heat race to earn a spot in the redraw for the 40 lap feature. After receiving the 5th starting spot for the feature Daly raced in the top five throughout the finale before crossing the finish line in the 4th spot behind race winner, Billy Moyer Jr., Tony Toste, and Jimmy Mars.

Wednesday's program was highlighted by a $3,000-to-win slate that drew a field of 49 entries to the 3/8 mile oval. Struggles in time trials left Clay starting 6th on the grid for his heat race, and with the top three cars advancing to the feature he advanced to a 5th place finish, which sent him to a b-main. In the b-main Daly overcame oil line issues to claim the second and final transfer spot for the feature. The 30 lap finale found him starting 24th before advancing nine spots to a 15th place finish.
