
January 22nd, 2012 - Clay concluded the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout at USA Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) on Sunday afternoon as the $10,000-to-win, Bill Cheesebourg Memorial was held. After drawing a big number at the pill draw, Daly started deep in his heat and failed to reach a transfer spot. He would, however, finish fourth in his b-main to claim the 23rd starting spot for the 40 lap finale. In the feature, the track would quickly lock down, and Clay retired early to save his equipment. January 21st, 2012 - On Saturday evening a $3,000-to-win event was held for the fifth round of the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout. Clay started deep in his heat race, and after not being able to make up much ground was forced to start deep in the field for a b-main. Despite starting fifteen he managed to advance nine spots to a sixth place finish. Unfortunately only the top four cars transferred to the feature, bringing his night to an early end. January 20th, 2012 - The 6th Annual Wild West Shootout resumed on Friday night with Round #4 at USA Raceway (Tucson, Arizona). Clay started ninth in the heat and passed three cars to record a sixth place finish. His heat performance left him starting eighth in the b-main, and he would only manage to advance two positions, which left him short of qualifying for the feature event. January 18th, 2012 - After battling bad luck for the first two nights of the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout, Clay was able to get things on track on Wednesday night. Sixty Super Late Models were on hand for the event, and after starting eighth he advanced to a third place finish to lock into the redraw for the feature, where he received the third starting spot for the 30 lap, $3,000-to-win event. Early in the feature he would slip backwards as far as the sixth position before rebounding to a great fourth place finish behind race winner, Don O'Neal, Billy Moyer, and Ronny Lee Hollingsworth. January 15th, 2012 - Clay was looking to put Saturday's bad luck behind him in the second round of the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout at USA Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) on Sunday evening. With 68 Super Late Models entered into the $5,000-to-win event, Daly started fourth in his heat before advancing a single spot to a third place finish. He was forced to run the b-main, and would run in a transfer spot early in the b-main before slipping just outside of a transfer, bringing his night to an early end. January 14th, 2012 - Clay opened his 2012 campaign on Saturday afternoon at USA Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) in the first round of the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout. A field of 69 of the nation's best Super Late Model pilots entered the event, and in heat race action Daly would finish third after starting on the pole. His heat race finish relegated him to a b-main, and in the b-main Clay would fail to reach a transfer spot bringing his night to an early end. Full results are available at www.USARaceway.net.

November 6th, 2011 - Clay took part in his final two events of the 2011 season over the weekend as he traveled to Canyon Speedway (Peoria, AZ) for a pair of races, which were co-sanctioned by the West Coast Shootout Series and Total Seal Late Model Dirt Racing Series. After Friday's program was lost to rain, the festivities were delayed a day to Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday a $1,000-to-win program was held and Clay would finish fourth behind race winner, Mike Kirby, Ricky Weiss, and Ricky Thornton Jr.
On Sunday afternoon a $2,000-to-win race was contested, and again Daly would finish fourth as he chased Ricky Thornton Jr., Mike Kirby, and Ricky Weiss across the finish line. Full results are available at www.DirtOnDirt.com.
October 14th, 2011 - Clay entered the final Crate Late Model event of the season at Ocean Speedway (Watsonville, California) on Friday night, and just by entering the event he clinched the track championship in the division! However, he wasn't done there as he won his heat race, which resulted in him starting sixth in the feature. In the main event he would quickly work his way to the lead, and once out front would never look back on his way to his fourteenth win of the season, which came over Danny Scott, Ken Gregg, Philip Priddy, and Chuck Barfoot. October 14th, 2011 - Both of the scheduled Western All Stars Super Late Model events for the weekend at Chowchilla Speedway (Chowchilla, California) have been canceled.
October 9th, 2011 - On Sunday Clay was slated to make his asphalt debut at Stockton 199 Speedway, but clutch issues and oil line issues forced the team to scratch from the program.
October 8th, 2011 - On Saturday night, the team was once again in action at Bakersfield Speedway (Bakersfield, California) for a $3,000-to-win, West Coast Shootout race, which was part of the 26th Annual Bud Bakersfield Fall Nationals. Twenty-six cars entered the event, and once again via preliminary action Clay would lock into the feature. In the main event Daly would battle in the top ten throughout the event before registering a sixth place finish behind race winner, Brad Pounds, Robert Sanders, Bobby Hogge IV, Nick Bartels, and Mike Johnson. October 7th, 2011 - Friday night found Clay Daly in action with the West Coast Shootout at Bakersfield Speedway (Bakersfield, California) in a $2,000-to-win, West Coast Shootout event, which served as the opener for the 26th Annual Bud Bakersfield Fall Nationals. With 27 Super Late Models entered, Clay would race his way to a fifth place finish behind race winner, Bobby Hogge IV, Mike Kirby, Nick Bartels, and Andy Obertello. October 2nd, 2011 - Clay concluded the ultra-busy weekend on Sunday night at Merced Speedway (Merced, California) in another $3,000-to-win, Western All Stars event. For the second straight night he would finish second in his heat race. In the dash he would finish second as well, which put him starting second in the main event. Once again he would be battling for the lead at the front of the pack when bad luck would strike as his fan belt came off with ten laps to go, relegating him to a 9th place finish. October 1st, 2011 - Saturday night found the team at Antioch Speedway (Antioch, California) for a $3,000-to-win, Western All Stars Super Late Model event. Clay started the night by starting and finishing his heat race in the second position to earn the fourth starting spot for the dash. He would rocket to the dash win, which earned him the pole position for the feature, and that's when things would get interesting. Clay was battling for the lead late in the race when the tire debeaded from the wheel causing him to spin in front of the field on a restart.
